Our History

First Baptist Church was officially established on January 10, 1908 with
10 members. In 1969 the Church bought a 3 1/2 acre lot on the
corner of Legion Road and Highway 86. This is the present church's
location. The church has currently remodeled its sanctuary which was
ready for worship in September 2009. The church has added a Family Life
Center since it was first established at 4249 Highway 86, in Brawley,
Ca. The center contains a full size basketball court, classrooms, and
office space, which currently hosts the Junior High and High School for
Brawley Christian Academy. The property also has a swimming pool as
well as other classrooms. The facilities at First Baptist are some of
the finest in our area. We strive to use these resources to do God's
will and touch the lives of those in our community.
